Safety
Why LiFePO4 is the safe choice.
Not every lithium battery is the same. All our systems use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) — the chemistry that has become the standard in the business storage market, precisely because of safety.
LiFePO4 is significantly more stable than NMC chemistries: the critical point for thermal runaway is much higher and the cell does not release oxygen that fuels a fire in case of a defect. That’s why insurers are considerably more relaxed about LiFePO4.
The battery management system (BMS) monitors voltage, temperature and current of each cell group individually, 24/7. In the event of deviations, the system shuts itself down in a controlled manner — and our support is automatically notified.
LiFePO4 contains no cobalt and no nickel. That makes the supply chain cleaner and the cell more durable: 12,000 charge cycles at 80% depth of discharge, versus 4,000–6,000 for many NMC systems.
The IP65 outdoor enclosures sit on your premises, separate from the building — the preferred setup for many insurers. Our installation partners place them in accordance with applicable guidelines for distance, ventilation and accessibility.

Frequently asked questions about safety & warranty
Typically: the certification dossier (CE, IEC 62619), the battery chemistry, the placement location and who installs and maintains the system. We cover all of these points as standard — we include the dossier with every quote, so you can align with your insurer before purchase.
Yes. The Hybrid ESS is suitable for placement in a technical room; the ULTIBLOCK line is built with an IP65 enclosure and liquid cooling for outdoor placement — from −20°C to +50°C. Our partners advise on the best location on site.
Hardly any. LiFePO4 systems are low-maintenance; the EMS continuously monitors the health of each cell and receives OTA updates. We recommend a periodic visual inspection, which your installation partner can combine with existing maintenance.
The system automatically reports faults via cloud monitoring. Support and spare parts come from the EU (Frankfurt region); many issues are resolved remotely via remote diagnostics, without a technician on site.
LiFePO4 cells are highly recyclable and fall under the European Battery Regulation: the producer is responsible for take-back and recycling. After their first life, the cells are also often suitable for a second life in stationary storage.
